If we delete the icon of the application, we are uninstalling it, so for prevent both icons from showing on home screen (even if it is in different sheets) we must move the application icon to a folder so as not to have it in sight.
Change app icons on iPhone with the Shortcuts app
The first thing to do is install the Shortcuts app, an Apple application that is not natively included in the system. You can download it through the following link.
Next, we must perform the steps that I show you below:
- We open the application and click on the + sign located in the upper right corner of the application.
- Next, at the top of the application we write the name of the shortcut that we want to be displayed.
- Next, click on Add action.
- In the search box we write open app and select the result shown in the section Scripts.
- Next, click on the text App and we select which application we want to open when executing the keyboard shortcut.
- The next step is to click on the icon of the 4 horizontal lines located in the upper right corner by selecting the option Add to home screen.
- Then click on the default logo that shows the shortcut and click on Select photo to use an image stored in the Photos app or Select File if the image is not found in the Photos app
- Finally, we press Add to create the shortcut on the home screen of our device.
Now, we must move the whatsapp app to a folder and instead, use the shortcut we've created.

In the App Store we can find a large number of applications that allow us to use themes (icons, widgets and wallpapers). The majority requires a subscription to be able to use them.

We can create different profiles and thus be able to create combinations of different themes (icons from one theme, widgets from others, combine icons from two or more themes, use widgets from several themes...)
If we delete one of these profiles, all icons that have been created will be deleted.
How Photo Widget Works: Simple
- Firstly, select the icon pack among all those offered by the application (the application is updated periodically by adding and removing packs depending on the time of year).
- To customize the theme, click on Save after an ad
- Then the theme settings window will open where we can modify:
- Wallpaper. By tapping this option, the theme image will be stored in the Photos app to manually set as wallpaper.
- widget. A widget will be created using the color scheme of the theme.
- Icons. All current application icons are displayed here along with the icon they will be replaced with. We can uncheck the changes we don't like and check others that haven't been selected natively.
- Custom icon. This section allows us to use any image stored in the library as the icon of the application that we want.
- Once we have configured the theme to our liking, click on Install XX Icons (XX is the number of applications that will display a new icon).
- Next, click on the button Download Profile and a browser window will open, where we have to click on Allow.
- The next step is to install the profile that has been downloaded following the path Settings > General > VPN & device management > upsidedown.
- The last step is to use the background image of the theme that we have downloaded in the Photos application (we select the image, click on the share button and select Wallpaper)
The next step is move all original apps to one folder and start using the shortcuts that have been created.
Do not delete the original applicationss, since the new icons will stop working as they are a direct access to them.
How to delete a profile on iPhone
- We access the Settings of our device and then in General.
- Next, click on VPN and device management and then in upside down.
- Delete profile.
Each of the different themes that we have created with the Photo Widget: Simple app will create a separate profile. The name of the profile It doesn't help us identify what it is.
