We are sure that we all already know the option available to open folders from tabs or windows from the Finder. It is true that each user is different and each one has their own hobbies when working with the Finder on Mac, which is why the more customization options we have available, the better. This is the case of the option to open the folders from the Finder, we have a couple of options available and the user can open them in windows or in tabs within the same windowThis can be edited directly from the Finder Preferences and today we will see how to do it.
Opening several windows for each folder can fill our desktop with them, so for me the best option is to have the visualization of these folders activated through tabs. This option allows you to have all the tabs you want within the same Finder window and thus is simpler, cleaner and takes up less space on your screen. In any case, this option can be changed to suit the user so that each folder is opened in a new window, and to do so we have to access Finder Preferences.
To choose the option we want, it is as simple as clicking on Finder> Finder Preferences> General at the bottom we find the option Open folders in tabs and not in windows. Everyone can choose the option they want and in the case of having it checked, these folders will open directly in windows, an option that I personally recommend. In any case, an interesting customization option that can make us more productive with Finder tasks.
