ChitChat, an app to use WhatsApp Web on our Mac

Whatsapp

With the official launch of WhatsApp Web on iPhone - be careful, deployment is progressive and it may take some time to be activated on your iPhone - the wait of many months that iOS users have suffered, or at least those of us who choose not to Jailbreak our devices, has ended.

On the mac

chitchat is an application that aims to isolate whatsapp web from browsers and converting it into an independent application such as Telegram, for example, although obviously the same result is not achieved due to the simple fact that WhatsApp Web is an embedded service of the browser and does not have a native application, something that significantly damages the performance.

This application bases its operation on the Safari web rendering engine, which is not the best option to use with WhatsApp Web. The service now owned by Facebook Development for Chrome has always been a priority, so the operation in Google's browser is superior to Apple's and therefore unless we expressly want to have an application dedicated to WhatsApp Web right now it is more advisable to opt for Chrome, and even go down Chrome Canary (development version offered independently by Google) if we want to have an exclusive browser dedicated to it.

It is expected that over time the relationship between Safari and WhatsApp Web improve, And this would also improve the performance of ChitChat, which yes, is a perfectly valid and usable option with the same limitations as Safari.

Well look, I still don't like what WhatsApp has done with all this, but it will be good for me to have it if I have to send something long in the future. Thanks, Carlos.

Line, Telegram ... Alternatives are not lacking, but there is no one to get rid of the damn WhatsApp.
