Compose emails directly in webmail thanks to Open in Webmail

The operating system of our Mac has a large number of functions, but many of them are hidden or we must make an adjustment in the application's Preferences. In other cases, we must resort to small third party apps that allow us to do this function quickly and easily, as in the case of Open in Webmail.

It is a small application whose function is directly open the web environment of the main mail services, such as: Gmail, Yahoo, Fastmail, Microsoft Exchange, among many others, with tjust click on an email address which will be our recipient.

Open in Webmail too directs us directly to the web service to compose an email, when we click on new mail of the native Mail application. The operation is very simple:

  1. The first consists of Download the app Open in Webmail from Mac App Store.
  2. Select Open in Webmail to be the default email on our Mac, for it.
    1. Opens Mail
    2. Go to Preferences, by clicking on the word Mail in the address bar. In the menu that appears, the Preferences option appears.
    3. Within preferences, in the first tab, General, appears as the first option: Default mail program. Scroll down and click on Open in Webmail.
  3. Now install the app Open in Webmail, which you downloaded in point 1.
  4. Select the web service you want to use. Are available: Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Fastmail, Zoho and AOL
  5. Now you can test that everything works correctly. We link the different test that the application developer has in his websites.

If all this works, working with your email provider's web service is faster than ever. Open in Webmail is a small application found on the Mac App Store al price of € 1,09. The only negative part is that the application is only in English so far, but it is understood with little knowledge.
