Concept (on video) of CarPlay in a Tesla vehicle

Apple car tesla

The vehicle manufacturer Tesla not only stands out as one of the first manufacturers of electric vehicles that has managed to popularize them and reach all audiences (one of Elon Musk's objects when he created the company) but also stands out for its gigantic entire vehicle management panel.

This central console with a 15-inch touch monitor shows us all the information that we should know about the vehicle, as well as allowing adjustments to be made to suit our needs. But What would CarPlay be like if it were the Tesla user interface? The solution is offered by the designer John Calkins through a video.

John Calkins, shows us how the interface of a Tesla could be if instead of using its own operating system I will use Apple's. It is also a way of looking at what the central management system of the vehicle that Apple is working on could look like, according to the news that was published last week, news that points to a collaboration with Hyundai.

This concept shows us a 15-inch touch screen with the applications dock on the left side of the screen, a screen divided into two parts. The left part shows us the status of the vehicle while it is running and the right part shows the different available applications such as Apple Music, Safari, the call application, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, Apple Maps ...

This design is based on the design which currently shows the Tesla control screen, but adapted to Apple applications. It should be noted that the interface shows the applications that are not available while driving, such as Apple TV +, Apple Arcade and the Apple Store.

If when Apple launches its vehicle, it does so with a fully autonomous driving system, these options might be enabled. The latest news suggests that it will not be until 2028 at the earliest.
