Configure editing settings in the Photos app

One of the things that Apple has been improving with the passage of the macOS versions is the application with which we can edit photos. Nowadays, that application is called Photos and it has improved a lot when it comes to photo editing controls.

If we open the application and select one photography, we can click in the upper right part of the window on the Edit button, after which We are shown a great variety of stills with which we can make many adjustments in the image.

Now, the slides that are shown do not allow us to apply an amount of effect at all, such as, for example, Brightness and is that in order to do this they should be much longer and then the visualization in the interface of the photos application would suffer. For this reason, Apple always has hidden keystrokes that make certain actions that cannot be implemented on the screen appear when we press the necessary keys.

In this case, when we are for example inside the slider LIGHT, we display Options and when we see the value bars one below the other, we will press the key option. You will see how an animation is played in the resolution of the metric of the bar that warns us that some values will be able to reach not only from -1 to +1 but now it will be from -2 to +2.

This effect is not for all the settings so if you want to have an idea of which ones do change, you just have to move them with the option key pressed and memorize where you can perform the action. To be sure, Apple always has a card up its sleeve and software engineers do their job very well.
