Set how long the password remains in the Mac App Store

Yesterday we made a small tutorial on how to leave active and without having to write our password in the free purchases of the Mac App Store and today we are going to see what we did not tell yesterday about the option that allows us to configure the time that the password remains on the Mac App Store for paid apps. It is true that it is an option that does not offer us great changes regarding the configurations, it only allows two options, but it is good to know that we have this configuration possibility available.

Like yesterday to directly access this setting from the App Store, the first thing we are going to do is close the Mac App Store in case it is open. Once closed, we access the System Preferences from the dock (if we have the icon anchored) or from the de menu and click on App Store. At the bottom of the settings we find the password settings option and this is where we have to modify the option.

It is really the same step but in the top dropdown. We open where it says: Purchases and purchases within the app and we modify to our liking. The available options are two: Always require, what is the one that comes by default and with which we have to write the password whenever we make a purchase in the store and the option: Request after 15 minutes, with which we will not be asked for the Apple ID password for the next purchases until after 15 minutes.
