Configure the number of Tops sites in Safari

MANAGE THE TOP SITES

Within Apple's operating system, software engineers have included their own browser called Safari. It is present in both the OSX and iOS systems, allowing total synchronization through iCloud of the application in both fields of devices.

Within Safari, from its first versions, a possibility called Top sites, which showed you the most visited websites by the user, so that you could select them quickly and easily.

In Apple's browser it is called Safari and has, among other utilities, Top Sites. A place where a preview of the websites you have visited the most is stored. In its first versions, the Top Sites space was presented as a screen in which the webs were distributed in a kind of circular shape in three dimensions. Also on the same screen in the lower left we could find the button "Edit", from which we could manage the number of Top Sites that appeared on that screen.

OLD EDITION

With the passing of the versions and the simplification of the system similar to iOS 7, the screen of Top Sites has become more "flat" and it is no longer presented in three dimensions. Likewise, now in order to manage the websites that appear on that screen, we must go to the Safari Preferences in the Safari menu. As you can see in the image, now we must select the number of websites that will appear from here, being able to select between 6, 12 and 24.

To finish, simply indicate that those sites once created can be eliminated pressing the "x" that appears in the upper left corner when hovering over the web display. To leave them "locked" we must press the other pushpin button. To order the webs to your liking, click on one of them and without releasing drag to the position you want.
