How to set up and use VIP mail on your iPhone

El VIP mailbox it's an easy way to make sure you don't miss any emails from contacts you consider "Very Important People." In the native Mail application, you can set up a mailbox in which all emails from contacts that you have previously marked as "Very Important Person" will be automatically filtered.

These contacts will appear with a gray star next to their names in all their mailing lists, and if you also have iCloud activated, that same person will be a VIP on all your devices.

For those of us who receive dozens and dozens of emails every day, this feature is extremely useful as it allows you to quickly see the emails that seem most important to you. Thus, using this mailbox is a great way to stay organized and that is why today we show you how to use it.

For, configure the VIP mailbox, first of all open the Mail application in your iPhone or iPad. If you are on one of your mailing lists, click on Mailboxes in the upper left corner. From the main screen, with the mailboxes at the top, you will see the inbox and below that, the “very important people” mailbox with a blue star next to it. Tap on the «i» that you will see next to it. To add a new contact, tap Add VIP and choose a contact.

To remove a contact from that VIP List, simply slide your finger on their name to the left and hit Delete.


You can also add a contact or email to VIP opening one of the emails that contact has sent you and clicking on their name. Then the card of that contact will open and you just have to click where it says «Add to VIP».

Keep in mind that adding someone to your list of VIP it doesn't delete emails from the inbox, it just makes them appear in that specific inbox too.
