The crash that causes delays in iMessage for High Sierra continues

Since macOS High Sierra was released a few months ago, a bug was discovered that caused some users to detect significant delays in reception and the sending of text messages, as well as the absence of notifications on some devices.

Apparently, so far the failure persists in these users, despite updates later released by Apple. The brand's forums are fuming with consumers complaining about the lack of effectiveness by the company in solving an uncomplicated problem at first glance.

After upgrading the computer to macOS High Sierra, some users noticed that iMessages lagged significantly on their Macs. Also, while their computer was running, Notifications were muted on other devices connected to the same iCloud account, like their iPhones and Apple Watch.

As a result of this bug, messages were delayed for even hours from the initial dispatch of the message. A multitude of forums have posted workarounds to resolve the problem, including disabling the messages, and later reactivating them. However, it seems that they do not solve the problem and the fault appears again.

La "Most drastic solution" to solve this problem, is to return your Mac to the previous version, Sierra, or completely disable the reception of messages on your computer.

The bug seems to go hand in hand with the new feature of macOS High Sierra, in which it allows the synchronization of iMessages in iCloud. Betas of this new functionality were introduced but it will finally be released sometime this fall.

And to you, has this problem happened to you with your Mac? If so, let us know.

Hello, I have been an apple user for several years. I know the procedures to consider for setting up iMessage and FaceTime on both Mac and iPhone. I have been having problems for approximately 6 months that I cannot use those apps. Today 13APR18, I have carried out many procedures (more in depth) to correct that error and nothing, I have tried to create a new apple id and nothing, reset the PRAM and nothing, enter with another id (of a relative who does not present problems) and any. I can't send messages or FaceTime, despite having my phone number configured.

If anyone knows about other reasons, I would appreciate contacting me, thank you very much.
