Print any email envelope from the contacts application on your Mac

About-mail-contacts-0

There are times when an email is not enough to send a series of documentation or any other type of file and we are required that said "paperwork" be physically remitted. Obviously we will have to do it by ordinary mail or even sometimes we are given the possibility of burofax, an expensive option although faster than certified mail.

For this there is an option within OS X that allows us to directly print a physical envelope with the address and data of both the sender as well as the company or natural person to whom we are going to send said documentation. The steps to follow are very simple and in just a few clicks we will have it ready for printing.

We will simply open the contacts application that we will supposedly have synced either with iCloud or any other of the compatible services, we will select the contact that interests us and once selected we will go to the upper menu of «File» and click on Print or directly with the keyboard shortcut CMD + P to open the following print window .

About-mail-contacts-2

Already inside the print window click on «Show details» and it is when we will see a preview where the data will be shown automatically both from the sender and the person or company to which the letter is addressed. Of course, it is essential that the cards of our contacts are updated with the address and all the data or complete fields since otherwise they will not be seen correctly.

If what we need is to print the labels to stick them in a different type of packaging such as a box or a larger envelope, we only have to select label and we will have it ready.
