For some time now, the new Macs that are being marketed have eliminated what was known as the system recovery or Recovery partition, largely due to the fact that practically everyone who purchases the equipment will have access to it sooner or later. network to call the recovery console over the internet leaving holding down the CMD + R keys at system startup.

However, this will not always be the case and it is possible that there are still users who do not have an internet connection available on a regular basis, less and less but I assure you there are still them. In these cases, being able to create a system recovery partition while still occupying 'a little' of disk space is clearly necessary.

It is for this very reason that Christopher Silvertooth, an expert consultant in technologies and OS X environment, has created a small script that will make life easier for us in this task if what we want is to create said partition. The first thing that we will need is to download the Mavericks installer from the Mac App Store or from any other source to get the system image to use it as a base and that the script can be executed.

Once we have done it, simply will indicate the system version that we are using and it will ask us where we want to create that partition and then carry out a check on the status of the disks and thus check that everything is fine for its correct installation.

Finally we only have wait for the routine to finish to create the partition and we will have it ready in case we ever need it.
