The new Apple Store en Upper East Side which will open today Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to see the historical architecture, in addition to the purchase of iPhones and Apple Watchs. This is because the new store located at 940 Madison Avenue was once the american bank Mortgage & Trust, where there is even a armored vault from a bench under the store, and Apple has restored much of the original design for its new showroom.
It is a Fine Arts building itself, Apple has worked to return the building to 1920, chandeliers y Marble floors. The exterior still maintains the original appearance of the building, Apple has put a black flag with a white Apple logo, above the marble entrance.
That reinforced bank vault, is below, the display surface of the store, and has become a VIP lounge on the ground floor, for private meetings with business clients. The old bank vault still has reinforced steel, with steel bars and armored door (Photo above).
Keep the original appearance of the building and the customization of designs from the Apple Store, is similar to how iPhone users personalize their devices. Said Angela Ahrendts, Apple's sales manager.
The store is even going to have special hours: 09: 00-20: 00 from Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday 11: 00-19: 00.
The rumors of this new Apple Store on the Upper East Side, emerged a little over a year ago and now it is going to be a reality. The Upper East Side Apple Store opens to the public on 13 June, at 09:00.
