French adventure game publisher Coladia has just released Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon for Mac OS X, continuing its series of adventure games based on historical characters or events. Only available to Intel-based Macs, the adventure tells the story of a priest in Italy after the end of World War I who investigates a possible candidate for sainthood who appears rather to have been in cahoots with the legendary vampire.
The program mixes graphics and cinematic scenes in the style of movies, with travel and folklore, moving from Rome to Budapest and other places, including some ancient prison caves of which the royal Vlad III the Impaler (the XNUMXth century despot, whose facts and name were the inspiration for Count Dracula) it is said that he escaped from them. Author Bram Stoker used Vlad's Romanian name and legend Draculea as inspiration for his novel, and in turn the game takes the literal meaning ("son of the dragon") as an inspiration for the game's appearance.
The action takes place in 1920. In a town in Transylvania, a woman named Martha has died, who was highly appreciated by the locals, who considered that she worked miracles as a doctor. The Vatican is asked to canonize this woman, and this entity entrusts the work to Father Arno Morían, whose nickname is that of "devil's advocate."
