Although in a more or less near future the normal thing will be to download movies from the network or watch them in streaming (perhaps), today the DVD is in full force and there are several of us who stack a good amount of them. Well, a good option to organize them is DVD Hunter.
The options that the soft has:
- Uan iterfaz similar to iTunes therefore we will feel very comfortable in it.
- Possibility of consulting online database to complete the data of the DVDs ,,
- Various options and methods to keep the collection organized
- Self-update
- Integration with the agenda (to indicate to whom we lend a DVD, for example)
- Integration with iCal (to notify us when they have to return the DVD that we lend)
- Compatible with Quick Look
As we can see, it works quite similarly to the Books application, which we had presented a while ago.
I like it, it looks very good; D

I've been a Mac user for a long time. I have tried several movie catalogers for mac (DVDHunter, Kavamovies, DVDCache, MeD's Movie Manager,…). All with something good and something bad in between that they only get information from IMBD and of course in English.
Without detracting from the other options, my recommendation is DVDpedia ( http://www.bruji.com/dvdpedia/ ), is in Spanish and allows information to be obtained from various sources, including FILMAFFINITY in Spanish. It is the closest thing to Ant Movie Catalog that we can find on the Mac.
It also has a plugin to integrate it into FrontRow.
You can't ask for more, the only downside is that it's not free (€ 18) but you can try 50 movies for free. Worth.
