We already have available in Apple stores the World's first HomeKit-compatible smart thermostat. Apple already announced this device a few months ago and it could be pre-ordered since last month, now it is available for purchase in the store, that is, for the moment only in the United States.

This thermostat is superior in all respects to the well-known and more veteran Nest. It also has something very important for Apple users interested in Homekit and that is another of the compatible products that are already available for your purchase.

This is the video of the company that makes this smart thermostat, Ecobee:

What this device allows us without extending too much in its functions, is that we can have instant control of the temperature of the room in which we are and sensors to measure and leave it just in the degrees that we want. In fact, we have already said it many times, Apple is not inventing anything in home automation, but surely it will get it to expand a little more and even that more users are interested in this type of automatic control systems for various household tasks.

Now let's hope this HomeKit compatible thermostat will it costs $ 249,95, lower the price a little and cross the borders to be available in other countries as soon as possible so that all those who want, can get one.

Well, at the moment nothing more than a toy for people who have money to spare. Professional home automation systems, such as KNX, are still light years away for Apple. I see more possibilities when it comes to integrating different systems and taking advantage of each one in its own way. There are dozens of apps that let you control your home, but of course, they almost always require a system already installed.
