In our daily tour of the Mac App store we have come across the application, Elmedia Player, a free video player that is capable of playing any file in formats: FLV, MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, DAT or others that we have available today.
For now we can say that this application was launched last January of this year totally free and offers us the possibility of viewing any available video format. The good thing about this application is that it has a PRO version that offers us some extra options and is therefore the 'normal' version will always be free.
The functions that this app offers us are directly related to the reproduction of videos and it allows us to search for videos from its own integrated browser or the files we have on the Mac. Edit subtitles or create our own playlists easily and easily. All other specifications can be found in the description of the app.
In the PRO version We are allowed to download videos from the web: this includes videos embedded using HTML and streamed with RTMP, but not YouTube videos. Capture an image or set of images from a video or even define times for frames to be captured. We can also extract audio tracks and stored on our disk. This PRO version has a cost of 9,99 euros but it is not necessary to make the purchase even though it comes out as soon as we open the app.
