Downcast is an application that has a price in the Mac App Store of 5,49 euros and that allows us to enjoy our favorite podcasts at different speeds, ideal for all those users who have the need, or simply like, consume many podcasts and want to do it in the shortest time possible.
The podcast playback speed options range from 0,5 to 3x, through 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.25x, 2.5x, 2.75x. Downcast allows us to search the Apple catalog, subscribe and download content, either in audio or video format. It also allows us to subscribe annually by adding its URL. Thanks to automatic downloads, we can always have your latest favorite podcast on hand to play.
If we previously used another podcast application, we can export the feed to import it directly into the Downcast application. Feeds that include adult content can be password protected, an ideal option if we have young children in our house with access to our Mac. This application also allows us to create playlists to classify them by theme.
If we also use the application for iOS, we can synchronize both the downloads and the position of the podcast that we are listening to, which allows us to change devices to continue playing where we left off. thanks to iCloud syncing.
