The Ergotron company has long been working with extendable ergonomic accessories and other gadgets for computer workstations, never before have its products been so focused on Mac users.
At the Macworld / iWorld convention, the company has shown some prototypes of desk accessories specifically designed to perfectly match the aluminum of Apple computers. We can always make ourselves our table with an iMac G3, but not all of us have a G3 to do it.
The most impressive of the new products is the next WorkFit-A, which is the desktop that we show in the photo of the article. The WorkFit-A, will sell for $ 599, attaches to any type of desktop, designed specifically for iMac Apple's newest Cinema Display, and Display Thunderbolt models. Rather than simply providing an articulating arm for mounting the iMac or Cinema Display, the WorkFit-A features a large work surface made up of a single anodized aluminum part, so that it fits the iMac or screen perfectly. We can place the keyboard and mouse or trackpad on the work surface and everything that lowers the desk level to work while sitting or increases it up to 50 cm above the desk to work standing up.
The company too will offer an additional accessory to place the keyboard on the main work surface (on the table or desk), if we want to use that surface for other things, or to increase the distance between the keyboard and the screen.
