- Select the column of the active cell: Control + Spacebar
- Select the row of the active cell: Shift + Spacebar

- Expand the selection by one cell: Shift + Arrow
- Expand the selection to the beginning of the row: Shift + Home or Shift + Fn + Left Arrow
