SMCFanControl is a basic for more than one on your Mac in an attempt to take control of the CPU fan, but if we are not convinced by such manual use we can go for Fan Control, the alternative (or complement) that dictates the logic seeing which offers us the same free cost.
With Fan Control we will control the fan from the administration panel, and what is done is to program various plans according to the temperature of the CPU, allowing a degree of automation much higher than that offered by SMC Fan Control.
Which one should we use? I think it is best to use both, SMCFanControl for manual control in certain situations and Fan Control for automation. Fan Control is donation-ware, so if you like buy some beers from its creator.
