First the church brush. Now it's London street artists who embrace Apple Pay

A few weeks ago, we echoed a story in which it became relevant, the Anglican Church's adoption of Apple Pay so that the excuse of "I am not wearing loose" does not affect the collection of the brush. It seems that this method of payment has become something more than common in the daily life of all British people.

Musicians and street performers are common in the streets and parks of London, musicians and artists who also have joined the Apple Pay club. The excuse of "I'm not wearing loose" is going to be more and more complicated to use when we enjoy a street show, since London is one of the cities where contactless payment has become a very popular tool.

To be able to receive payments via Apple Pay, London City Council has provided musicians and street performers with an electronic payment reader, a device with which they will be able to increase the income they receive while doing their work on the street, which will allow many of them not only to improve their talent, but also to expand the number of opportunities to get off the streets and, perhaps, dedicate himself professionally to music through a record company.

The contactless payment system, came to the UK in 2007 and today almost all stores accept it, from small establishments to large chains, hence it is common for citizens to leave home without cash to make purchases. The artists are the ones who have to establish the amount of the donations and place the reader in the place they want. Some artists have already stated that since this system was implemented a few days ago, the number of donations has increased significantly.
