On March 19, Apple will premiere a new series called Calls and that describes what we are going to find. This series narrates 12-minute long conversations. We are only going to find audio and some minimal sound and visual effects to delve into the chilling stories they tell.
This series is an English adaptation of the French series of the same name created by Timothée Hochet. Apple describes this new "series as an innovative television experience with only abstract audio and visual effects" and shows us the story of a group of strangers who see their daily lives altered by the events that are about to happen.
The nine 12-minute episodes are narrated through a series of phone calls, with very precise wording, a compelling voice cast and graphics that help transcribe the dark and dramatic conversations on screen.
These close settings transport audiences to familiar situations that quickly become surreal with exciting and terrifying moments.
Featuring Lily Collins, Rosario Dawson, Mark Duplass and others, Calls demonstrates that true terror lies in interpreting what is not seen on screen and in the haunting places the imagination can take.
People who have seen the French version say that it is very good, however, it is logical to think that this type of content would not have a place on Apple TV + but rather on a podcast. Be that as it may, on March 19 we will have doubts, the date on which the first of the 9 episodes that make up this new series will be published.
