Fixing some 2010 MacBook Pro issues in Lion

NewImage

It's rare that a big launch isn't accompanied by some problems, and in Lion's case the big hit has been the 2010 MacBook Pro, whose owners have reported multiple serious problems under Lion.

The solution -at least temporary- seems to be simple, and you only have to follow these steps if you are affected:

  1. Open Finder and press CMD + Shift + G to later enter "~ / Library / Preferences / ByHost /" (without the quotes)
  2. Delete all files that contain the word "windowserver"
  3. Reboot

Many people say that this has worked for them, although it is still a temporary fix waiting for Apple to solve the problems properly, in a clean and safe way.

I have problems starting Lion, it crashes often and I have to restart it ...

I have looked in the folder mentioned in the article and not a trace of "windowserver", I only see a couple with the word window - without the server -, to see if someone can help me!

    Thank you very much.
