Floating FaceTime windows could be disabled on macOS

FaceTime

And it is that in the beta version of iOS 13.5 launched a few days ago by the Cupertino company an option is added in which we can activate or deactivate the floating windows when we make a video call using FaceTime. This measure could also be implemented for macOS, although it is true that in the last beta version launched we did not find the option as we do find it on iOS. Either way it will be something that arrives for sure and it may already be available in the next beta.

There are many people that this type of animation makes them nervous and even we ourselves have experienced this feeling in our #PodscasApple when we make video calls through FaceTime. Floating or zooming windows are not to everyone's taste and being able to turn this feature on or off can be very useful. In iOS it is enough to access the FaceTime settings in Settings and disable the call option Automatic Prominence (which could be called Automatic Zoom in Spanish).

Be that as it may, the option will be available almost with total security for all Apple OS that can perform video calls via FaceTime. These zoom windows are random and for many it would be better to have everything well organized on the screen without movements of any kind since they do not provide any advantage over video calls that offer a static view of the users who are within them. We will surely see this function active in the beta version and in the final version of macOS Catalina 10.15.5.
