GarageBand for Mac will allow us to synchronize the content created on iOS

Two days after the official presentation of what will be the new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS, the guys from Cupertino launched the GarageBand update that many users were waiting for, an update in which finally and almost 9 months later offered support for the Touch Bar of the new MacBook Pros the company renewed last year. I have always said it and I maintain it: Apple passes a lot of its applications and this is the umpteenth test that confirms it. At least if you are concerned about improving the compatibility of your desktop applications with mobiles, as is the case with the next GarageBand update.

So far, all the creations we made on our iPhone or iPad were compatible with the Mac version of GarageBand, but not the other way around, which could be a very big problem when we needed to take the content that had been created with us to show it to them to a client, for example. But this problem seems to have its days numbered and as confirmed by Apple, the next GarageBand update offers two-way support but limitations.

In order to enjoy the content created in the desktop version of GarageBand, we will have to create a project compatible with iPad (or, failing that, iPhone) and store it in the cloud so that all devices associated with the same account can access it. . This project will automatically show up on the iPad or iPhone, where we can add new tracks since editing will only continue to be allowed in the macOS versionDue to the limitations offered by the iOS version, something that iPad users have already become accustomed to but that seems to change completely with the arrival of iOS 11.
