The application to compose music by default in OS X, GarageBand, would be ready to receive an update with 10 new battery configurations and 100 new synth sounds designed for specific dance music tracks and electronic hip-hop. These new new features were supposed to arrive on June 30, just in time for the launch of the Apple Music service.

New sounds, plus new ways to tweak audio, add even more depth to the application of music to simplify the work giving more tools with which to make decisions when composing. Even so on the web there is still no mention of any update in reference to the mobile version of iOS.

GarageBand for Mac costs 4,99 Euros and currently has 18 different types of virtual drums including genres such as rock, alternative and R&B among others. The update will include 10 more presets like EDM, dubstep, hip-hop, and retro styles from the 80's.

The GarageBand page describes the smart controls currently available but adds that "you can also adjust the music composition later in the Keyboard Editor." However, it is not yet very clear how this new feature will work.

Apart from these functions, different media believe that GarageBand will include some tool so that the users upload their music to Apple Music Connect, the social tool for sharing music and tracking artists.

GarageBand currently includes SoundCloud integration so artists can share their work. It seems unlikely that Apple wants to compete with itself within one of its own applications since SoundCloud is a consecrated platformA success for independent artists when it comes to sharing original content, although coming from Apple, I would not be surprised if GarageBand changed this option.
