Activate the menu sidebar in iTunes 11

iTunes11-0

Sometimes we see how many programs in successive updates change small details that a priori are improvements in its management, but other times they are mere cosmetic changes that for many (including myself) only hinder the proper use of the program. In this case we find that iTunes 11 just installed on our Mac has lost something very important and it is effectively the sidebar of menus.

From the outset iTunes is not very user-friendly or intuitive at first contact. It is somewhat difficult to understand that "synchronization" folder, podcast, music, photos ... when you're used to dragging and pasting folders, but once you've got the hang of it, it's very easy to get used to it and even easier to use it as an everyday thing without worrying about anything else, just syncing.

Without further ado, in this mini-tutorial I will explain how to activate the menu sidebar which came by default in version 10 but in this version Apple has decided to discard it, at least apparently. At first we see how when opening iTunes, said bar has disappeared showing us this.

To recover it and leave iTunes as it was before the update, we simply have to go to the display menu in the upper left and choose from all the options, the one to show sidebar

Once this simple step is completed, We can now see iTunes with an arrangement as we had in the previous version, which I personally think was better arranged at the hierarchical level from the beginning. Although being honest I also think that iTunes 11 is more "nice" in general terms.
