The menu bar at the top of the screen of our Mac gives us direct access to the system functions as well as access to the main functions of the applications and direct accesses to the functions of our Mac. Everything is functions. However, although it does not take up much space, it is likely that users with a screen of few inches, want to automatically hide the space it occupies, to give the feeling of have a little more space that applications can take advantage of. Although it may seem silly, the psychological effect does a lot in this regard and it does give the feeling that the screen of our Mac has gotten bigger,
Since macOS 1O.11 El Capitan, Apple offers us a simple way to hide the top menu bar, so that it automatically hides. If we want it to be shown automatically again, we just have to drag the mouse to the top of the screen where it is to be shown. This process is very simple and you don't want much knowledge to be able to perform this little trick.
Hide the menu bar in macOS
- First we go to the menu represented by an apple on the left side of the upper menu bar.
- Within that menu we go to System Preferences.
- All the configuration options of our Mac will be shown below.
- We head to General.
- Inside General, we head up Hide and show the menu bar automatically.
- As soon as you exit that menu, the top menu bar will disappear completely and will only be shown again when we slide the mouse to the top of the screen, where the menu bar is located.
Thanks for your very interesting contribution.
