How to create more than one user on Mac OS X

control-use-1

Many of you will think, why do I want to create another user on my Mac? If we want to put a work hour limitation for our Mac (there is an option to limit use times) or in the case of having minors at home, to be able to "limit access" to some options on our computer or on the network and that they are only in that user account.

En un siguiente tutorial de Soy de MacWe will see how to set a working time limit for our Mac, for this it is necessary to create a different user than the one we originally came from. This option gives us some interesting possibilities.

Creating multiple users is very useful for those who want separate work from play for example, that is, let's imagine that we are working and a message from a friend appears on Twitter and we lose track of what we were doing, it also works in the case of being several at home using the same machine, even at our work.

For these cases, with the creation of a new user we will have the "problem" solved, as I said, it's great if you have minors at home or share a machine at work, this way you can limit access with Parental Controls to the minor only in that account, let's see how to create them;

We open the well-known Top Menu of the  in the menu bar and click on System preferences. Once the window opens, we select Users and Groups and click on the padlock at the bottom left, type in our password and we will see that the padlock is open.

Well the next step is click on the + symbol and add the username that we want. We fill in all the data, it is important to identify the use in the section New account which is where we will choose the permissions that the new user will have.

And once everything is completed, we will only have to click on Login Options and mark the options that we want to see the new user created.

With these simple steps we will have created another user on our Mac, which allows us to have several restriction options for our accounts or simply differentiate several users on the same machine.
