Writing text on your iPhone or iPad is easy, but even easier and faster is to reply to emails, messages or create notes using the function of dictate text. In order to use this function, we must first take into account that our iPhone or iPad must be connected to a WiFi network or a mobile data network.
Also, to be able dictate text on our device we will also have to make sure first that the "dictation" option is activated and for this, we open the Settings app and click on General.
Then select 'Keyboards' and on the next screen, scroll down to where it says 'Enable dictation'. If it is not activated, tap on the slider to activate it.
From now on, every time you go to write something in Mail, Messages, in the app Notes, etc., you will see that on the keyboard, next to the space bar, you have a small microphone. Click on it and you can dictate text in a comfortable and simple way, even if you don't go too fast.
You can also dictate punctuation marks so that your text appears well edited. For example, dictate "semicolon," "period," "comma," and so on to type these punctuation marks. Or say "uppercase" so that the next word starts with a capital letter, or "all caps" so that everything you say from that point on is capitalized.
