How to disable automatic renewal of the iTunes Match service from iTunes

Now, if you have opted for the Apple Music service, you should be clear that as long as you do not deactivate the automatic subscription to iTunes Match, if you had contracted it, it will continue to be renewed permanently. Remember that the iTunes Match service is charged annually y it has a cost of 24,99 euros per year.

Once the two services have been clarified, if you still want to deactivate the automatic subscription of iTunes Match and thus not have your music library available in the iCloud cloud, the steps you have to follow are the following. Before explaining the procedure make sure you have a copy of your local music library on your Mac otherwise you would lose all the information. 

  • We enter iTunes on the Mac or on a PC and click on the icon of the head that appears in the upper right bar.

  • In the menu that appears we must click on Account Information.
  • When our Apple account information is opened, we go down until we see the iTunes Match subscription. In that same line we are informed of the date on which the subscription is no longer active.

  • Click on Disable automatic renewal.
