How to disconnect a Bluetooth device from your iPhone or iPad

On this occasion we return to one of the basic tips or tricks that perhaps many of you, especially if you have just released your first iPhone, iPad or iPod, you still do not know: unpair a bluetooth device from your iDevice.

Quickly disconnect a bluetooth accessory

Before iOS 9, share devices Bluetooth with more than one iPhone it was a somewhat cumbersome task. To switch from one iPhone to another you had to deactivate Bluetooth on the device or select Skip device in Settings; both options were no more than detours to switch from connected iPhone to another. Now, there is an easy way to temporarily disconnect your iPhone from a Bluetooth device. Disconnect or unpair a device bluetooth of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is a very simple task for which you simply have to follow the following steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iDevice and select Bluetooth. Disable bluetooth device
  2. Locate the device you want to disconnect from your iPhone and press the «Information» symbol that you will find next to it, identified by a letter «i» inside a circle. FullSizeRender-1
  3. Now you can find two possibilities. If the Bluetooth device is currently connected, you can simply disconnect it, keeping it paired with your iPhone, or unpair it completely. Simply choose the desired option and accept it in the new window that will appear on your screen. On the contrary, if, as in the example that I am showing you, the Bluetooth device is NOT connected at that moment, the only possible option, logically, will be to Skip, that is, unlink it from your iPhone.
