Probably many of you are about to release your first iPhone o iPad Or, at least, we hope so, and you would like to know how to edit the text that you will write in it quickly and easily. If this is your case, keep reading and we will tell you how to do it.
For edit text, the first step is to know how to position the cursor. By tapping on the exact place you can place the cursor on the specific word or letter, however, the cursor will be at the beginning or end of a word. Let's see the example that the guys from iPhone Life have used.
In this screenshot we can see how the word "editing" is misspelled: "Editting."
To eliminate that excess letter «t», you could place the cursor at the end of the word «Editting,» delete four characters by pressing the delete key and then type «ing» again. However, a faster way to do this is to place the cursor directly after the unwanted "t". You can do this by keeping your finger on the screen and a bubble will appear that enlarges the text and allows you to place the cursor exactly where you want.
Keeping your finger on the screen is also the key to the function copy or cut / paste. Suppose we want to change the wording of this text by moving the expression "is easy" at the end of the sentence. The first step is to touch and hold. A pop-up menu will appear that gives us the options to select, cut, copy and paste.
Click on the Select option. In this case, it has been done on the word «Editing» because that is where the cursor was.
To select what we wanted, select "is easy", simply drag those little circles in the corners until the expression "is easy" is selected.
Now is when you can press "Cut" as the first step to carry that expression to the end of the sentence. So, move the cursor to the location where you want to paste.
Indeed, you have guessed right 😉, press «Paste» and the text before cut will be pasted exactly where you wanted.
This is how simple it is to edit text in iOSIt's basically about tap and select.
