safari

This is one of those questions that come to us from both sides, let me explain. A part is from users who want to activate this option to avoid consuming so much energy or even data on their MacBook when they are out and about connected to the Internet through a data plan and the other part of users who want remove this restriction on the Mac. Well, the first thing to say is that this energy saver came with the presentation of the OS X Mavericks system and the truth is that personally I find it an interesting option for OS X as well of applications and other methods available to make our battery last longer. The best thing about this possibility is that we can activate or deactivate it as we please and in a really simple way, so we are going to see the steps to follow to be able to activate or deactivate it at will.

The first thing we have to do is open Safari and access Preferences from the top menu bar or perform the combination cmd +, Once we are in the Preferences menu we have to go to the Advanced tab which is on the right side.

Now we only have to carry out the activation or deactivation of the Safari saver (which blocks the automatic start of some videos or flash plugins on web pages) by clicking on the option Internet modules. If we mark the check, we can navigate through pages that loaded automatically videos or similar that when entering them will not be played automatically. Instead it shows us a bar similar to the one in the previous image in which it can be read that the flash module has stopped. If we want to see the content, we just have to click on the bar and it will start playing.

For users who want to disable it, it is only necessary leave demarcated The Internet modules option and all the content of the web pages will be reproduced automatically when we access them on our Mac with OS X Mavericks.
