If this Christmas, for having behaved very well, you received as a prize your first iPadYou may have already noticed that there are many apps that are not available for the tablet; you have looked for them in the App Store and they simply have not appeared. Indeed this is so, but only in part. These applications are not optimized for the apple tablet, or do not have a version for it, although this does not mean that you cannot install and use them on your new tablet.
If you want to use Periscope, Snapchat or Instagram on your iPad, you can. First, open the App Store application on your iPad and type in the search box "Instagram" or the name of any other application. In most cases, the autocomplete will suggest something like "instagram for iPad" but when you select this suggestion, surprise, it doesn't exist.
The only thing you will find, if they exist, are third-party applications capable of interacting with that application you are looking for, for example, Snapchat.
To download the authentic application for Snapchat, Instagram or anyone that does not have an iPad version, you must go to the upper left corner of the App Store and click where it says "iPad only."
A small sub-menu will open. Select "iPhone only"
You will automatically see the application you were looking for and you can download and install it on your iPad. The difference is that as it is not optimized, the image does not present the same good quality and perhaps some functions do not work completely well, but you can use it on your tablet.
