How to make the Library folder visible in OS X

Surely on more than one occasion you have wanted to access the folder Bookstore. Accessing it is not that simple, we have to go to Finder's Go menu and press the ⌥ key to display an access to this directory. Well, with today's trick we are going to make the folder visible Bookstore in the OS X Finder without having to resort to hidden shortcuts.

How to display the Library folder

The steps that we indicate below have been previously tested by us. We recommend that you follow the instructions as indicated below for the hack to work properly.

  • First, we open the Port de OS X (you will find it by looking in Spotlight).
  • Once the Port, copy and paste the next code:
chflags nohidden ~ / Library /
  • press Enter and ready. Now when you open a folder you will see that the folder Bookstore it appears in the Finder.

How to hide the Library folder

If for any reason you want to remove access to the Bookstore that we have created in the Finder, repeat the same steps as before, but this time enter the following code in the Terminal on your Mac:

chflags hidden ~ / Library /

We will be back next week with a new tutorial for OS X. If the wait is eternal you can review the Tutorials published the previous weeks.
