How to modify the hotkey on Mac to activate dictation

System preferences

Surely more than one of you dictated a text to the iPhone to be sent by mail, applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram and others, well in macOS too it can be dictated for this to write what we are talking about and it is very simple.

In this case we have to give permissions previously if we did not have dictation activated but all this is quite simple and can be of great help in moments in which for one reason or another we cannot write directly on the keyboard of our Mac or that we simply do not feel like it.

If we do not have the dictation option activated as always we have to access the System preferences and in the section of «Keyboard" let's go to the tab Dictation which is located at the bottom in the right part of the window.

Now once the option for dictation is activated, we simply have to open the drop-down of «Quick function» and choose or customize the key to activate this dictation:

The important thing here is that everyone chooses the option that best suits them to activate dictation without harming other keyboard shortcuts that we have on the Mac. Without a doubt, we can enjoy dictation on the Mac on many occasions just like we do with the iPhone, the truth is that when we have the Mac open, it is "easier" to write than not to talk directly so that it recognizes what we say and writes it directly on the screen. Are you one of those who uses dictation to type on your Mac?
