How to properly clean the iPhone / iPad screen

One of the moments that possibly all of us remember the most is the moment when we saw our device come out of the box, out iPhone or iPad, that moment in which it was new and looked better than ever, a moment that does not last more than two minutes when we start to use the device and little by little it loses its shine in the screen and begins to fill with finger marks. In this short tutorial we will show how to properly clean these screens so that we can fully enjoy them and these annoying stains do not damage the appearance of our device.

Materials

  1. A micro fiber cloth
  2. Some water

micro fiber cloth

Only with these two elements is sufficient to properly clean the screen of the iPhone / iPad, if we use other products among those chemicals available in the market we run the risk of losing the oleophobic layer of it, which is what helps reduce finger marks on the screen, and when removing it, it would be even worse each time we use it , going from being a solution to being a problem.

Procedure

  1. To start, it is important to turn off and disconnect the device from any connection that it has (charger, headphones, among others) and to have a cover or lining to remove it to prevent moisture from leaking that can later damage the device.
  2. Then, with the micro fiber cloth we proceed to gently clean the entire screen, with this we will remove any particles of dust, dirt and the most common finger marks.
  3. In case there are still marks on the screen, after cleaning with the dry cloth, we must moisten it with water, not with any other chemical that, as we already said, could damage the screen; After moistening it, we wipe it over the screen being careful not to touch the edges to prevent water from entering the device and we end up drying the screen with the dry part of the cloth.

With these short and easy steps, the screen of our device will be like new again, ready so that we can enjoy it to the fullest, it is advisable to do this periodically since it does not take much time and also does not put any of the components of the screen at risk, it only improves its appearance.

That will be if you do not use a screen protector, something that practically everyone uses for more than obvious reasons.
