How to set any ringtone?
Well, guys, today I bring you a tutorial of how to put your ringtone favorite without jailbreak or apps, without losing the guarantee of your terminal, totally safe and 100% free and legal and in a few short and simple steps in which you will not take more than 5 min.
What will we need to carry out the process?
To install any ringtone on our iPhone or iPad without jailbreak we will need:
- A computer, either Mac or Windows.
- Have iTunes installed.
- And finally, an iPhone or iPad regardless of the model.
Simple right? Let's go with the tutorial!
- First we will plug in our device "Either an iPhone or iPad" to our computer and we will open iTunes that we will previously have installed.
- We go to the iTunes preferences, click in general and if you do not have the option of "Tones" you click on it.
- Then we go to the music library, and you right click and give "Get information" about the song that you want to put as a tone.
- Next we go to the section of "Options" in the window that has been opened and we click where it says "Start and end", there we enter from the minute we want the tone to start and where we want it to end, taking into account that it only allows 30 seconds of ringtone.
- Then we go out and on the song, click the right button and we give it «Create ACC version». Just below that version will appear "ACC" 30sec, which we will drag to the desktop because it will be our ringtone. Once we have it copied to the desktop, we will delete that version completely from iTunes "ACC" that we have on the desktop, so that we only have it on the desktop.
- Then on the desktop we right click on the song and we give it to rename and we will change the extension leaving the name of the song to recognize our tone and we will change the extension that it has to be ".M4a" a ".M4r"; It will ask us what extension we want to maintain, we will say that the ".M4r". Example: "Keep Up.m4a" → "Keep Up.m4r", so it should be.
- Finally, we will double click to open the tone and iTunes will automatically open and this ringtone that we have created in the section of "Tones" from iTunes. Now we just have to connect our device and when synchronizing it, select "Tones" and we will have it available.
