How to remove the beta from macOS 11 Big Sur

Having problems with apps in macOS 11 Big Sur beta? Do you want to leave out the beta versions to return to the official macOS system? It is true that it works really well but in any case today we are going to show you how you can remove the beta version from your Mac easily and quickly, so that everything goes back to the way it was before installation.

Logically the hard disk of the computer must be completely empty, so if you are one of the users who did not install the beta version on an external drive or pendrive, you will have to erase everything you have saved. Calm down, we are not going to lose anything since we have to make a backup of everything we have on the computer and for this it is as simple as

Always a backup before anything else

To make a backup copy of our equipment, it can be done in several ways either through Time Machine, which is the option that I personally recommend, or directly by manually dragging the folders to an external disk, a simple backup that allows us to save photos, videos, music and other content on our Mac although we are in a beta version of the operating system.

Once we have the backup it is as simple as turning off the Mac and starting it pressing the key combination: alt> cmd> R until the world ball appears and we let go. Once the process is finished, we will see that the latest official version of macOS has been downloaded, in this case it would be macOS Catalina 10.15.6.

Then we have to erase the internal disk of the computer and for this you can access Disk Utility and from there we can erase it. Remember to choose macOS Plus with Registry and delete. You may have to choose AFPS instead of macOS Plus, nothing happens, we choose it and click on delete.

Once finished we close the window and click on reinstall macOS and we wait for the installation process which usually takes about 20/30 minutes In most cases. Now when your computer restarts it will no longer have the beta version of macOS 11 Big Sur.
