How to reset the Dock to leave it with applications and initial configuration

One of the possibilities that we have thanks to a Terminal command line, is that of leave our Dock the same as the first time we started our Mac. This little trick can come in handy when we've been using the Mac for a long time and the application icons start to run out on the Dock.

With these simple command We are going to leave our Dock with the same applications and initial configuration, which will modify the size of the icons, the situation in which they are found and will clean the applications that we have added over time.

What we have to do is open Terminal and copy the following line:

defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall dock

Once copied and pasted we press Enter and the Dock of our Mac will perform a reboot, This restart will leave our Dock the same as it was when we first opened our machine and we will know how to reset the Dock to leave it with the applications and configuration of origin when we want.

Now you can access the System Preferences> Dock and replace the animation settings, the option to hide and show the Dock automatically, modify its position on the screen or whatever you want. We can also organize the applications again to our liking and by preference of use, something that in principle is not usually done when you launch Mac.

Clearly applications can be removed and added one by one without resetting the Dockbut it is always good to know that this can be done.
