Spotlight in iOS 9
Up to iOS 8, Spotlight It was limited to searching within the data of your device for information such as the location of an application, email, a song ... Now, Spotlight is its own search engine, a news center, a locator that shows you what you have near you, and include suggestions from Siri. Let's take a quick tour through everything we can do with the renewed Spotlight of iOS 9.
To access SpotlightSimply swipe to the right from the first home screen, that is, it is "a screen" located before the first screen. At the top we will find the search bar, which is Spotlight in itself. Below it, Siri suggestions that include your most frequent contacts and the applications you have used recently, all in order to make it faster for you to access what you use the most.
When you click on one of your frequent contacts, from there you can make a phone call, send a message, start a FaceTime or access the information sheet of said contact. And if you press one of the applications that appear as the most recently used, it will open directly.
Next we find the suggestions of places that we have close to our current location: bars and restaurants, cafes, shops, service stations ... The interesting thing is that as you use them, it will vary depending on your habits and the time of day. For example, if you always fuel your car first thing in the morning when you go to work, this suggestion will appear at that time, but not at noon. When you touch the icon, Maps it will show you those suggestions.
Finally, you can keep up to date with the latest events thanks to the News suggestions. Do not be surprised if for the moment they do not appear. These suggestions seem to be tied to the app News which, at the moment, is only available in the United States. But if you want to have it, just change the region of your device to the United States from the settings and it will immediately appear on your home screen and with it, also the suggestions in Spotlight.
However, just as they aim from iPhone Life, probably the most important update of Spotlight be the search function. Apple has wanted to eliminate the need to open Google search on your iPhone or iPad, so from the Spotlight search it does everything by organizing the results by application, website suggestion, mail, contacts, notes, messages, music ... And at the end of all it will also give you three options: search the internet, search the App Store and search Maps.

One question: I have an iPad Mini and the Spotlight does not appear moving to the right, as it happens with the iPhone. You have tried everything, reinstall from scratch, restart, etc ... Of course, sliding down the search line appears but nothing else, no recent contacts, no applications ... Of course both devices are the same in settings.
