On October 27, Apple introduced us to the new monitors that hit the market to make up for the lack of Thunderbolt Display monitors that the company had stopped marketing months ago. These new 21 and 27-inch monitors offer us a 4k and 5k solution respectively. Both monitors are specially designed to be the perfect extension for the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, they also allow us to display the image of the MacBook Pro while providing power to the MacBook Pro. But It is not the only quality alternative at an affordable price that we can find in the market.

The American company HP, better known in the computer world for its printers, although it also has a laptop division, has just presented a new 27-inch monitor with 4k resolution with USB-C connection. HP's ENVY Display monitor offers us a lower resolution than LG's 4k monitor, 3.840 x 2.160 than the size of its screen, 27 inches, it may not meet your needs for less demanding users. This HP monitor has an LED panel with IPS technology and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

At the moment this monitor is only available in the United States for $ 499,99 and at the moment we do not know if the company has plans to offer this monitor outside of the United States. The ENVY Display does not have built-in speakers, which can be a problem for many users when it comes to having it as an option. It has a USB-C port (with which we can charge the MacBook Pro), a DisplayPort and another HDMI, which expands the number of devices to which we can connect it without having to use the lucky adapters that Apple wants to popularize quickly due to to the connection limitations of its new models.
