If you use Chrome on your Mac, you need to update it urgently

Everyone is very free to use the applications they want on their Mac, it would just be missing. But everyone knows that everything that smells like Google is not usually linked precisely with maintaining the privacy of user data, with which Apple fights and defends so much.

And one more example of this is that Google has just released an emergency update for its browser Chrome for macOS, which fixes a serious security flaw. So if you usually use it on your Mac, you are already taking time to update the application.

Google has just released an emergency update to its Chrome browser for macOS. It is the eighth so far this year, and this time it fixes a serious security flaw. So if you often use such a browser on your Mac, please update the application as soon as possible.

The new version of Chrome for macOS is the 107.0.5304.121 and fixes a serious security flaw. This update contains a single fix for a GPU buffer overflow.

This flaw was found and reported by Clement Lecigne of the Google Threat Analysis Group on November 22, thanks to the CVE program. The security bug is referenced as CVE-2022-4135. This flaw allows certain important data to be sent to prohibited locations (usually adjacent) without going through verification.

And this is already starting to be worrying for users of Chrome for macOS, since it is the eighth update emergency so far this year, which solves a serious security breach.

You can check the version you currently have installed easily. With Chrome open, go to “Chrome” in the top menu bar, and enter “About Chrome”. It checks for a new update, and if it finds one, it restarts Chrome to install that new version.
