In the last few weeks, we have published different articles related to the number of subscribers that Apple's video streaming service is supposed to have. Today we have a new report, a report that not only offers us subscriber forecasts for the year 2025, but also about the number of current subscribers.

Digital TV Research, who has published this new report, states that By 2025, Apple will have 26 million subscribers, a small fraction of the 126 million subscribers that Disney + will have. As of today, and according to Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, Disney's streaming video service has 28.6 million subscribers.

According to this medium, the number of current subscribers who are paying their fee religiously is 2,6 million. These figures do not include the number of users who are enjoying Apple TV + for free for having purchased an Apple product in recent months, be it a Mac, Apple TV, iPhone or iPad. If you count the non-paying users, the figure could be more than triple, about 9 million users.

By the end of the yearDigital TV Research states that the number of paying subscribers will approach 3 million, 2,9 million to be exact. During the announcement of the financial results for the last quarter of 2019, Tim Cook stated that Apple TV was "up and running" without making any reference to the number of subscribers or users who use the service for free.

Regarding the rest of the streaming video service, these companies affirm that by 2025, Netflix will remain the undisputed king of the market with 227 million subscribers (currently around 150 million). Amazon's streaming video service, Amazon Prime Video, will rank second with 133 million subscribers. Regarding the number of HBO, it has not indicated figures, since until it expands to more countries, future growth is very limited.
