Instagram tests the "Save draft" feature

Instagram continues to experiment with new features and functions in order to improve and remain one of the most important social networks today.

The next thing you could implement is the ability to save draft posts (like on Twitter, for example).

Instagram targets drafts

The social network Instagram has begun testing a new highly requested feature that allows store draft messages on the social network, instead of having to completely discard any edits made to any photo.

Already last July a small number of users mentioned having seen the function "Save draft". Now Instagram seems to have extended the testing phase, without having yet officially launched it.

Simple operation

The process for saving a draft is really simple. After we have made any type of modification to the image that we want to share on Instagram, when pressing the button to go backwards the app shows a dialog box that says the following: «If you go backwards now, the modifications of the image will be discarded ». At that moment user can choose to delete the photo or save the project to publish it later.

When you try to post something on Instagram again, saved drafts are displayed on top of the camera roll. From the «See all» section, drafts can be permanently deleted.

For the moment, Instagram's new "Save Draft" feature is still experimental. The social network has not provided any official launch date, limited to declaring to TechCrunch that "We are always trying new ways to improve the Instagram experience."

Over the last few weeks, this photography social network has undergone interesting changes. At the beginning of August he added "Stories", much like SnapChat, and before that he revealed that he intends that users can filter the comments by setting rules to their liking since "different words or phrases are offensive to different people" .
