Iris, a robot concept based on the iMac G4 design

It is evident that when we talk about robots or robotics in general, we cannot rule out any concept for the near future since machines are part of our day to day. That is why today let's see a robot concept created by Curved whose name has been Iris (which is actually Siri in reverse) that would allow us to perform different activities if it were to enter the house. Obviously this is a concept of a robot, which means that it does not exist today and it cannot be expected to do so one day, but we find it interesting to see the design so similar to the iMac G4 -of a lamp- and the functions that would be able to perform.

For now we can say that this concept has different functions and in the lower part it has a kind of sphere that allows the robot to maintain balance and move in a similar way to the one it does. the popular BB-8 Droid pen. On the other hand we have a small built-in vacuum cleaner at the bottom to do a little cleaning (with its button to open and a small drawer to store the dust), on the sides it shows a pair of Beats stereo speakers, a laser pointer and evidently an LCD screen on top that would serve to remind us of appointments, show contacts, show us the weather and more.

Here we leave a small video created by Curved:

With all these accessories the Iris would be able to receive commands by voice and HomeKit would be fully compatible. The idea of Apple (which has nothing to do with this concept) in this sense is to continue advancing in other areas such as the smart car, but we like this robot quite as much in the design as in the functional part and those of Cupertino could quietly work on it. Obviously we doubt that it will be manufactured for now and it is only a concept, but we really liked the design and functions.
