For all those who had had problems updating El Capitan. Restart the computer and when you hear the boot sound, press Apple (Command) + R key, until the boot screen similar to the usual appears; right after, the Select a language window appears (in our case obviously Spanish). It will go to a window with several options: Disk Utility, Reinstall, ... etc. At first, ignore any of that. Go to the Utilities menu and select Terminal. A window will appear with bash at the beginning.
The Disk Utility of the main window told me that everything was fine and yet with the commands that I put below it fixed things for me, and solved slowness problems.
Write the command diskutil list. Information about the identifiers of our discs will appear. Write fsck_hfs -frl / rdiskNsM where N and M are the numbers of the identifiers of your disk that appeared in the previous command (if -frl does not go then you change to -fl). In some it will tell you that it cannot be done and in others it will. Type ls -l / dev / disk * (It will list the files that start with disk). One should appear which is disk10. Write fsck_hfs -fr / dev / disk10 (If -fr doesn't work then you put -f). For those who want to try the other disks, they will tell you that it cannot.
If after all you detected a problem and solved it ... it will be time to restart normal, by apple menu. In my case the startup is somewhat more agile and opens everything faster.

I have a serious problem installing El Capitan. I have a 15 ″ Macbook Pro from early 2011. I am absolutely trying to install osx from scratch, ie by formatting my drives. Dear, I tried twice to install El Capitan (not from scratch) on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008), Memory 8 GB. Both times it was updated correctly, restarted and started working, Total Finder did not work (but I already knew this) and it does not let me navigate through some sites because it does not recognize the certificate (Google Drive among them).

What I have done is buy another 4Gb of RAM and install it (it is very simple). With the 8Gb of RAM installed I did the update on my Snow Leopard and apparently everything seems to work fine. I had to update the VWMfussion to version 8 yes. You may like the rest more or less (I don't like iTunes 12 for now) but it seems to work in a very Ipad style (Icons, etc ,,)
My 2008 macbook pro with 8Gb seems to go smoothly with the Captain this.

I think this article is a bit irresponsible, Jordi, seeing the serious hardware problems that Captain is causing in so many Macs (no longer simple little app problems). At the very least you should mention these, or suggest that a copy should be made in time machine before proceeding.
