It is no longer possible to transfer iPhone and iPad purchases to iTunes

iTunes-12.2.1

Since I have been using Apple products, I have always had the habit of doing back up and transfer purchases I make on iPhone and iPad directly to my Mac through iTunes so that later when I restore my device from scratch, I can quickly load previously installed applications and not depend on Apple to download them again from the purchases tab.

This process in addition to consuming a lot of battery during the process forces us to be connected to a Wi-Fi network but we want it to happen like our colleague Jordi the other day, when the iPhone 6s was released and the data rate evaporated in a few hours.

For several, many, many users are complaining that when they connect their device to iTunes to transfer purchases, iTunes does absolutely nothing, so it is impossible to make a backup copy of our applications, precisely now that Apple has eliminated from our purchase history the applications that have previously been withdrawn.

What is this about? It is most likely due to one of the new features of iOS 9 called App Thinning, that if we look for the translation it would be like thinned applications. Apple continues with the mania of selling devices with 16 GB of storage, absurd from where you see it. To try to justify this storage size, Apple has changed the way applications are downloaded.

If previously an application was completely downloaded, regardless of whether it occupies 1 or 2 GB, from now on only the base of the application or game will be downloaded and as we make use of it, the rest of the parts or sections that compose it will be downloaded and deleted. But in addition, only that downloads the part of the application compatible with the iPhone or iPad, not both, which considerably reduces the space of it.

For this reason it seems that Apple no longer allows transferring purchases to iTunes, since lThe version that we have downloaded will not work on another device other than the same from where it was downloaded. In other words, if we have downloaded a game for iPhone, that same game will not be able to transfer it to our iPad from iTunes.

I have read this news several times but there is something I do not understand. This refers to transferring purchases when you connect the iPhone to itunes, but I still buy an app from the iPhone App Store and when I open iTunes it starts to download automatically, so I can still save the apps I download, instead of transfer it by connecting the cable, it is downloaded automatically when you start iTunes.

It is strange that if it is not possible for the thinning app to transfer apos that the option to transfer purchases still appears in itunes but I also have the same problem and even using imazing or other alternative tools to itunes

I would never have bought a 6gb iPhone 128s Plus.
I am disappointed to learn that in my 70s I cannot keep my songs from the past on my iTunes from the new iPhone 6s plus. For me this decision made by Apple will affect him a lot, I do not see the scope, I have had more than 15 Apple computers and this has been a deadly tip.
    Sincerely,

The problem I have is that the apps that I update on the iPhone I cannot transfer them to my pc, I have to update my apps on the computer also, before there was no such problem, does anyone know if this is due to the new updates?

I'm crazy, I can't transfer my applications from the iphone or ipad to my pc either. With this problem, if I format my iPhone, will I lose all the information and applications?

Not being able to save my music and applications on my pc is, in my opinion, a fatal blow to the brand, as the colleague says. If the brand does not back down, it will be my last purchase of a device from their brand, very sorry.
